Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 26, 2026

This policy explains what information Arch-Pet (“Arch-Pet”, “we”, “us”) collects when you use our website at arch-pet.com and the Arch-Pet app (together, the “Service”), how we use and share it, and the choices you have. Arch-Pet is operated by an independent developer based in the United States.

In short: we collect what’s needed to run the app, we never sell your information or show ads, some optional features use Google Gemini (an AI service), and you can delete your pets’ data or ask us to delete your account at any time.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

Information collected automatically

We do not use advertising or third-party analytics trackers.

2. How we use information

3. AI features (Google Gemini)

These optional features use Google Gemini:

Arch-Pet uses Google’s paid Gemini API service. Under Google’s terms for that service, Google does not use what it receives to improve its products. Google keeps it for a limited time only to detect abuse and meet legal requirements. AI results can be wrong; nothing is saved to your records until you review it, and AI answers are not veterinary advice.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We share information only:

5. Where data is stored and how it’s protected

Data is stored with Google Cloud, primarily in the United States, encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is controlled by security rules that limit each pet’s data to its owner and invited household members. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you of a breach where the law requires.

6. How long we keep information

We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete a pet, its records, photos and documents are deleted from our database and storage. You can delete your account yourself in the app (Settings, Account, Delete account), which erases it right away, or follow the steps at arch-pet.com/delete-account. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your data within 30 days, except where we must keep something to comply with the law. Copies may remain in our providers’ backups for a limited time. Contact-form messages and feedback from the app (with its screenshots) are kept for up to 24 months. Assistant conversations are kept until you delete them or your account.

Some things have their own limits. Notifications in the app are kept for 90 days. Messages from people who scan your pet’s tag are kept for 90 days. Lost-pet alerts lose the contact phone as soon as you mark the pet found, are deleted 30 days after that, and every alert is deleted 60 days after it was sent.

Deleting your account (which asks you to sign in again first) also deletes your lost-pet alerts, place reviews, the list of people you blocked, the reports you sent about content or AI answers and the reports about what you wrote, the feedback you sent from the app (and its screenshots), and the contact-form messages sent from your account’s email address. Pet sittings you did for someone else stay in their history, without your name or email. What we can’t delete: payment and subscription records are kept by RevenueCat, Apple, Google Play and Stripe under their own policies and for as long as tax and accounting laws require (usually 5 to 10 years); orders of physical pet tags are kept as sales records for the same reason, no longer linked to your account.

7. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live (for example California, other US states, the European Economic Area or Brazil under the LGPD), you may have additional rights, such as to access, correct, delete or port your data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. We honor these requests and will not discriminate against you for making them. Where those laws require a legal basis, we rely on providing the Service you asked for, your consent (for optional features like AI and location), and our legitimate interest in keeping the Service secure.

8. Children

You must be 18 or older to use the Service, and you confirm this when you create your account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. If the changes are significant, we’ll let you know in the app or on this page before they take effect. The date at the top shows the latest version.

10. Who is responsible (controller) and data protection contact

The controller of your personal data is Ronald Torres Vieira, the individual developer (sole proprietor) who operates Arch-Pet, in North Carolina, United States. Our data protection contact (the “Encarregado” under Brazil’s LGPD) is reachable at support@arch-pet.com.

Legal bases: we process data to provide the Service you signed up for (contract), with your consent for optional features such as the AI features and marketing emails, and for our legitimate interest in keeping the Service secure. International transfers: your data is stored and processed in the United States, by us and by the providers listed above, because that is needed to provide the Service and under those providers’ data protection terms. Your rights: you can confirm, access, correct, export or delete your data, withdraw consent and ask about sharing (see section 7). If you’re in Brazil, you can also complain to the ANPD (Autoridade Nacional de Proteção de Dados).

11. Contact

Questions or requests about privacy: write to support@arch-pet.com, or use the contact form and choose “Privacy or data request”. For anything else: contact@arch-pet.com.
